What is Spring into Shape? Spring into Shape is a wellness challenge that will help get you into shape this spring and lead you to live a healthier lifestyle! You will earn points each day based on your physical activity and healthy eating. The goal is to earn 400 points by the end of the challenge. If you choose to participate, there are a lot of great prizes that you can win! (click here to see the prizes)
How do I Earn Points? There are 4 basic ways you can earn points:
1 point per 10 minutes of physical activity.
No limit, you can get as many physical activity points as you want every day.
1 point for eating at least 2 cups of vegetables every day.
1 point maximum each day. Eating 4 cups doesn’t get you more points.
1 point for eating at least 2 cups of fruits every day.
1 point maximum each day. Eating 4 cups doesn’t get you more points.
1 point each day for completing healthy habit weekly challenge

Example: One week your healthy habit challenge will be to avoid soda and sugary drinks. Each day that you avoid soda and sugary drinks, you get one bonus point. There will be a new healthy habit challenge each week.
When Does it Start? It starts on the first day of Spring, March 20, and lasts for 10 weeks. The program ends on May 28th.
Who Can Participate? ANY Halifax Area School District Student, Student Family Member, Staff, Staff Family Member or Halifax Community member!
How Much Does it Cost to Participate? Nothing, it's FREE! Spring into Shape Wellness Challenge is sponsored by businesses and organizations that graciously provide donations.
How Do I Win? There are 3 ways you can win:
The first 10 people to make it to 400 points will be entered in a drawing to win a $100 Walmart Gift Card!
Every week, all participants who earn at least 40 points will be entered in a random drawing to win a weekly prize! There will be three weekly prizes given out each week.
All participants who earn 400 or more points during the course of the challenge will be entered in a random drawing for the GRAND PRIZES!

How Do I Keep Track of My Points? Print out the scorecard here. This will make it really easy for you to keep track of your points each day. Every Monday, you will receive an email. Click on the link in the email and complete the form to submit your points. You never have to turn the scorecard in. It is only for your reference only. Click here to view and print out the scorecard
